A reliable batch workflow starts with a small representative sample. Confirm output format, dimensions, transparency and naming before processing the full collection. One preset can be convenient, but a mixed folder of photographs, screenshots, logos and animation does not necessarily share one safe export configuration.
Split files by their delivery needs
Separate sources that need transparency, crisp text, animation or different target dimensions. Keep originals outside the export folder. Decide whether each group should retain its format or convert, and check whether the receiving application supports that choice. A single JPEG target cannot preserve a transparent logo.
Test representative files locally
Illustrative sample: choose one dark photograph, one label-heavy product shot and one image with transparent edges. Run the planned settings and inspect the output at the intended display sizes. Compare byte size and visual quality before applying those settings to the rest.
ZipMyImages processes image files locally. Guests have limits of 50 files per session, 5 MB per file and 100 per day. Free login removes those app limits and enables features such as resizing and multiple output formats; available memory and browser capabilities still limit practical batch size.
Account for format-specific limits
Browser encoding varies, so verify the actual output type when using newer formats. GIF input is processed as a first-frame still in ZipMyImages, not animation. Basic SVG cleanup is not a full vector optimizer. Do not rely on an output filename or success thumbnail to confirm that these features survived.
Inspect the downloaded archive
Extract the ZIP, compare the number of outputs with the intended exports and check naming collisions. Multiple-format export can produce more output files than input images. Open samples from the beginning, middle and end of the collection, plus any unusual source. If a batch is too large for the device, split it into smaller groups without changing the underlying quality requirements.
